Accreditation
Accreditation is an assessment of the organisation, not of a product. It takes a year, it can fail, and nothing we say before it survives is usable for compliance.
Accreditation is an option, not the plan for 2026. Until a signature is required, revenue comes from the evidence layer — measurement, grading and the register — which does not depend on accreditation. The Q3 2027 target stays open as an option; the two-track plan explains what is signed by a partner in the meantime.
The standards
| Standard | What it covers | Why it matters to a buyer |
|---|
| ISO/IEC 17065 | Competence of product certification bodies | Makes a certificate admissible |
| ISO 14065 | GHG validation and verification bodies | The specific discipline we operate in |
| ISO 14064-3 | How a GHG statement is verified | The procedure we follow on every case |
| ISO 14067 | Product carbon footprint quantification | The method underneath the number |
The route
| Month | Milestone | Gate |
|---|
| 0 | Legal entity and quality manual | Must exist before application |
| 1–2 | Internal audit and management review | Findings closed or justified |
| 3 | Application to the national body | Documentation accepted |
| 4–6 | Witnessed assessment on a live case | Assessors observe a real engagement |
| 7–9 | Nonconformities and corrective actions | All closed to the assessor's satisfaction |
| 10–12 | Accreditation decision | Certificate issued — or a second cycle |
What changes when it arrives
- Statements can be cited in regulated and procurement contexts.
- The logo may be used with the accreditation mark and its registration number.
- Annual surveillance becomes compulsory — accreditation is a relationship, not a purchase.
- The scope of accreditation is public and narrow: what is not listed is not accredited.
What we do not claim today
| Claim | Allowed? | Why |
|---|
| “Verified carbon footprint” | Yes, as a professional opinion | Not an accredited conformity assessment |
| “Accredited verification” | No | No accreditation certificate exists |
| “Certified body” | No | Different standard, different assessment |
| “Compliant with ISO 14067” | Yes, if the statement says which parts were assessed | Method, not accreditation |
Target dates are intentions, not commitments. If the assessor finds a systemic weakness, the date moves and this page will say so.
