Container-level EUDR evidence pack
The EU regulation asks the importer to file a due-diligence statement for every shipment.
What it does not provide is the evidence underneath that statement. We supply it: plot, batch and container,
each step hashed to the one before, recomputable by anyone.
Scope, stated first. We do not decide whether land was deforested, and we do not file
the due-diligence statement — that is the EU operator's act. We package and freeze the evidence the operator
and its certifier work from. Any conclusion that needs a signature is countersigned by a licensed partner.
What the regulation asks, and who provides it
| Requirement | What it means | Provided by |
| Scope | Coffee (CN 0901) is in Annex I, including roasted and decaffeinated derivatives | The regulation |
| Plot coordinates | Geographic coordinates for every plot; a polygon above 4 hectares (≥ 6 decimal places) | Grower or cooperative |
| Deforestation-free | No deforestation or forest degradation after 2020-12-31 | Satellite imagery plus the operator's due diligence |
| Legal production | Tenure, labour, tax and environmental permits under local law | Grower plus local counsel |
| Due diligence statement | Filed in the EU system, reference number travels with the goods | The EU operator (importer) |
Timing: the Commission postponed application in late 2024, and simplification is still under discussion.
The EUR-Lex text governs; this page does not restate dates.
What we supply
| Layer | Deliverable | Status |
| Plot binding | plot_id and its polygon written into the batch manifest and hashed with the label record | Design |
| Transport chain | Batch → container → bill of lading, each hop committed to the hash-chained ledger | Design |
| Evidence pack | One per container: coordinates, batch ledger digest, footprint label, review record | Design |
| Public verification | Anyone recomputes the pack from the container id and the first 12 hash digits, in a browser | Runs on the existing register |
| DDS field mapping | Our fields mapped to the keys an importer needs when filing | Design |
What we do not do
| Not this | Why |
| Decide deforestation | The finding rests on satellite evidence and the operator's due diligence |
| File the DDS | It is the EU operator's legal act, not the supplier's |
| Stand in for certification | No accreditation body has certified this body; no equivalence with EUDR compliance is claimed |
| Survey plots | Coordinates come from the grower; we validate format and consistency |
| Guarantee clearance | Evidence lowers the risk of refusal; it does not displace the authority's judgement |
Price
| Deliverable | Contents | Fee (CNY) |
| Container release pack | Plot coordinates, batch ledger digest, footprint label, review record | 3,000–8,000 / container, or 0.2–0.5% of cargo value |
| Batch compliance file | Several containers of one batch, for the annual audit | 8,000–15,000 / quarter |
| Public verification | Recomputation without an account | Included |
Per container, not per batch: enforcement acts on the shipment, and clearance happens at container level.
A per-batch fee would split one container into a dozen billing points and add friction to the thing the buyer
needs to do quickly.
Known gaps
| Gap | What it blocks |
| No plot-data interface yet | The polygon exists only in the design |
| No satellite baseline connected | Forest cover at 2020-12-31 cannot be checked automatically |
| Legality files need counsel | We archive and hash them; we do not review them |
| No signing partner contracted | No conclusion may be issued under this pack until one is |
Where this sits in the two-track plan. The pack is an evidence product: it can be
sold without accreditation because it makes no certification claim. The moment a buyer asks for a signed
conclusion, that comes from the licensed partner, not from us — see the
two-track plan.
