Signing partners
Track B of the two-track plan rents the signature. This page describes the agreement we offer
to an accredited body, what each side does under it, and how the countersignature appears on a record.
Status: no partner is contracted. Nothing on this site is a claim that an
agreement exists. Until the first evidence-supply agreement is signed, no conclusion is issued under it, and
every call to action that needs a signature says so.
What the agreement covers
| Turn | We do | The partner does |
| Measurement | Metered data, hourly emission factors, boundary and functional unit | Reviews the method and the sampling plan |
| Ledger | Batch ledger, hash chain, revocation, public recompute page | Relies on the ledger as the evidence for its conclusion |
| Grading | A / B / C by metered share | Accepts or rejects the grade under its own procedure |
| Conclusion | Prepares the case file | Issues the statement or label under its accreditation |
| Register | Writes the record and the countersignature reference | Is named on the record as the signing body |
What the partner gets
| Benefit | Why it matters to an accredited body |
| Cases arrive with the evidence done | A verification that starts at the review, not at the farm |
| Fewer person-days per conclusion | The expensive part of a small-holder engagement is assembling evidence, not judging it |
| A public register to point at | Buyers can recompute a record without contacting either party |
| No integration project | The register is ours; the partner keeps its own systems |
What we ask
| Ask | Why |
| A named reviewer and a response window | A countersignature that takes a month is not useful to a shipment |
| The right to refuse without explanation | If the partner cannot refuse, the signature is not independent |
| Publication of the countersignature reference | The register must show who signed, not just that something was signed |
| No fee from the supplier to the partner for a favourable outcome | The report's own rule: the payer must not be the beneficiary |
How the record looks once signed
| Field | Value |
| Conclusion | Signed by the partner's authorised reviewer |
| Evidence | Hashed by us, recomputable by anyone |
| Signing body | The partner, named in full with its accreditation scope |
| Our role | Methodology, metering, grading and the register — never the conclusion |
How a partner starts
| # | Step | Output |
| 1 | Read the method and run one batch against it | A case the partner's reviewer can mark up |
| 2 | Agree the sampling plan and the grade thresholds | A written procedure for this class of engagement |
| 3 | Sign the evidence-supply agreement | Two named signatories, one scope, one fee split |
| 4 | Countersign the first label | The record appears in the register with the partner named |
Until step 3 is done, the honest answer to "who signs" is: nobody. That is what this page exists to say.
